| Purpose | This course is a requirement for an individual to maintain their designation as a Suspended Scaffold Supervisor in New York City. As of January 1, 2025, it is also a renewal requirement for the holder of a NYC Special Riggers license. |

| NYC Requirement |
The Suspended Scaffold Supervisor must complete this 8-Hour Refresher Course four years after completing the 32-Hour Supervisor Course, and every four years thereafter.
To renew a Special Rigger license on or after January 1, 2025, licensees must complete a Department-approved course of at least 8 hours per NYC Building Code Section 33.14.4.5.3 and 1 RCNY §104-06. |
