Climber/Tower Crane Rigger Training Course Overview
Course Required for:	License Qualification, Worker Training
Purpose:	This course is a Licensing requirement for all applicants for a NYC Climber/Tower Crane Rigger License and a requirement for all workers engaged in the erection, jumping, or dismantling of a tower crane, including the Licensed Rigger and the Rigger Foreman.
Duration:	30 Hours of instructional time, excluding breaks and meals
NYC Requirement:	To work on Climber or Tower Cranes in NYC, all workers must successfully complete 30 hours of training as mandated by the 2022 Construction Code, Building Code Chapter 33 Safeguards during Construction or Demolition. To work as a licensed Climber/Tower Crane Rigger in NYC, the licensee must also complete the same 30 hours of training as mandated by the 2022 Building Code, Chapter 33.
Course Requirements:	All topics in the Course Content Requirements must be covered using the approved Instructional Delivery Method. Time allocation per topic can vary depending on the trade or job of the trainee. Course materials must include current NYC Construction Code references, policies, rules, and bulletins. Use latest publicly available statistics and prioritize NYC-related incidents since the last renewal period. Include relevant and illustrative case study photos where available. Refresher or Renewal Courses should emphasize updates since the previous renewal period.
